    Default "ouch" doesn't matter, great blue heron chicks at feeding time...

    These chicks mean business when it comes to food. There was lots of wrangling going on, and this parent shows what might be a beak injury from my guess and yours: junior! I liked this image bc the nicitating membrane wasn't visible. I wish there was more head turn from the chicks to see more of their eyes, but then i wouldn't have this head on behavior...

    I really like this perspective, Ann. If you have enough canvas, I'd be tempted to try this in vertical.

    I love the perspective on the parent and I am happy to see the 2nd eye visible through the open beak. Agree with trying a vertical composition. Nice work, Ann.

    This is a very cool and fun image. I also like that both eyes are visible / the 'thousand mile stare' the parent is giving. TFS
