William, beautiful shot. The only thing you could have improved on if you had the capability would be just a slight head turn towards the camera.
Nice and sharp, wing angle, BG and exposure look good.

Yeah, what Tim said Bill... get your birds to straighten up and fly right or stop wasting our time! :)
    Very nicely done...
    Happy shooting!

Hi Will , cool shot and i like the banking pose.

Overall I find the image a bit dark and the white plumage a little 'contrasty/dirty' looking. I feel you can afford to open the Exposure by just over a third, then tweak the WB, Tint and Exposure module, then the image has life IMHO, WDYT? In doing so it does highlight the two larger highlights by your © which I took the liberty of removing.

Will I meant to say, there is something odd happening between the dark bottom feathers RH edge, is it a masking issue between the feathers????

Nice top view of this great bird. Little HA to you would not hurt for sure. I prefer the lightened repost. I am glad you have the distant rocks as the BG...good addition to the image. TFS.

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. Hi Steve thanks for that it does make a big difference. I was in two minds whether to lighten or not. I should have, as it is better. It makes the original look real cold now. I never noticed that before, yes, looks like it may be a masking issue.

Hi Will, great flight pose, and you have captured a lovely full wingspread. Good detail on the whites in your OP, but Steve has taken the Gannet to another level. Your Gannets are slightly different with regards to the darker plumage markings on the wings.

I like the repost as the whites are cleaner and brighter. Nice-looking pose and yes if he had given you a head turn this would have been a perfect image. Nice capture though keep up the good work.
