Dottie and I went to Circle B Bar Reserve yesterday morning. I saw this Great Blue Heron fly into a large Bald Cypress tree. The tree was in a good position where I could have the wind and sun at my back would most likely mean it would take off and fly towards me. Well, it did but not as I expected. When leaving the tree the bird set it's wings into a long glide. Screaming all the while it soared over my head and beyond. In hindsight I do not think it liked my presence watching and waiting for action, not sure but maybe a defensive show. Anyways, it was out of the norm and different. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.
