    Settings: D500, Tamron 150-600 G2, 1/3200, f9, 600mm, ISO 720 - handheld

    I like the calling pose, I would go for a vertical crop here (bird a bit too large in the frame too). Good exposure, the bird is a bit soft and noisy. was it a large crop?

    Yes, it's a slightly large crop hence the noise. What about this crop?

    I like the pose and the exposure. Nice clean background. Ideally it is best to not have a shadow on so much of the bird. The repost looks better to me as the first was large in the frame. The shadowed (left) side and the undertail coverts are still noisy. Did you try and lift the shadows a in those areas? If so that will introduce noise as well, in addition to the crop.
