The looks were just too good to not post another shot of this bird. This is the female posing on the cliff in direct late evening light. The background is the water of the Hudson River. To shoot at this spot you are slightly above the birds and so are shooting down on them a little. It is the perfect angle to get the water as the background.
Canon 1dx and Canon 500 f4 ii + 1.4x iii. Tripod mounted while resting with legs fully extended on a rock wall. I was kneeling for far too long in snow and ice. Talk about cold knees!!!
Processed with DPP 4.6 and PS. Leveled the rocks and cropped.

I like the IQ, feather detail, exposure, clarity and HA. If this isn't full frame I would give the Falcon a little more space all the way around but that is my personal preference. Excellent image Isaac!
