Winter had a tough time letting go of its grip in the later parts of March. Here's a male Northern Cardinal enduring another snowfall we had during that time. It was a friendly fella too, eating out of my hand a few minutes after this!!
Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1000s., f/6.3 (must have accidentally bumped it up by one click, but no biggie), ISO 800, natural light, handheld, full-frame, darkened the pupil, a superfluous twig removed via clone tool.
Love these snowy shots of your Dan,bird itself looks great with the scattering of snowflakes and that nice red against that grey bg,eating out of your hands you lucky man.
Beautiful colours against that BG. Even the bird looks cold. Love the colours on the bird. My only wee nit would be. I wished the perch was part of the branch we can see.
Excellent image Daniel! I like the pose, winter setting, IQ and composition. I had one eat out of my hand in Hawaii every morning at one place we stayed at.
