Winter had a tough time letting go of its grip in the later parts of March. Here's a male Northern Cardinal enduring another snowfall we had during that time. It was a friendly fella too, eating out of my hand a few minutes after this!!

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1000s., f/6.3 (must have accidentally bumped it up by one click, but no biggie), ISO 800, natural light, handheld, full-frame, darkened the pupil, a superfluous twig removed via clone tool.

Beautiful colours against that BG. Even the bird looks cold. Love the colours on the bird. My only wee nit would be. I wished the perch was part of the branch we can see.

    Beautiful Composition.

I like how you composed the shot by creating vertical and horizontal lines with branches

Excellent image Daniel! I like the pose, winter setting, IQ and composition. I had one eat out of my hand in Hawaii every morning at one place we stayed at.

    This is just lovely, Daniel.

Such a pretty subject, superb colours and framing and I love the wintery look and feel to this frame. Great techs too

    Enjoyed viewing, TFS

    Kind regards,
