Last Thursday on our way home from Gatorland Dottie and I went to Joe Overstreet Road. It is a location we can always see Eastern Meadowlarks. The sod farms and pasture land on both sides of the road is prime habitat for those birds. I captured this image there. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Holy smokes Joe, last Thursday Gail B and I were at Joe Overstreet afternoon till dark and she captured a terrific meadowlark as well! Wish we had crossed paths with you! so close... Love the stature here, did you try "unsaturating" the yellows especially above the brown chest collar? It looks a bit toasted, but what a terrific shot with a clean BG! Well done.
Hi Ann, we were there from about 10:30 till noon. It would have been nice to have crossed paths and met. Small world to have both been there on the same day.
Something happened to the yellow in posting the image. After posting I went back to the original and looked at the yellow, it was good. The JPG on my computer looked good as well. Not sure what happened in posting.
Thank you for viewing and commenting, very much appreciated.

Egads!!, and Wow, Joe. This has to be one of the best Meadowlark captures I've seen. Love his expression, the gigantic raised foot, the old weathered post, and a lovely BG. Well Done.
A terrific, unique Meadowlark capture. Great pose, nice rich yellows (slightly toasted as noted), in good light. But that huge raised foot puts it over the top.
