    I'm finally getting out and shooting some new pictures to play with. I used a 100mm macro lens and created further selective focus with Nik Color Efex pro. California is exploding with wildflowers!

    Elegant image. I love the way the flowers jumps up at the viewer from the soft focus of the ground.

    I have read that it is an historic year for wildflowers in the high desert. Would love to see it!

    I like the way you have isolated the flower from the background. Beautiful lighting and good detail on the flower head. Just a pity about the oof grass stalk cutting into the rh side of the flower but difficult to avoid.
