Last one for this month. From Merritt Island NWR in February. This is full-frame except for slight rotation; if he had done any more of a wing stretch I would have cut it off.

    Bill:

Great breeding plumage, head angle, useful reflection.

I would be tempted to add some canvas at the top, perhaps doubling the free space above the wing tip. Just personal taste.

    Cheers

Nice image like the reflection and light.

A nice, almost geometric frame-filling pose, Bill. And I love the saturation of the colours.

You did really well with this Bill. The deep pink tones and whites of the head just jump out against the dark water. Details look great. I agree with more room above. Was about to book another Florida trip in early May but decided on going to visit a friend in Colorado and doing some photography out there and birding. Still about 10 life birds I can get out there.

Great capture, Bill. Nice detail throughout, and beautiful rich color. Like the wing positions and the shaded BG.

Thank you all. Since this was full-frame I don't have any room above. But it would be easy to add a sliver of canvas to it.

I like the action, details, exposure and great colours on the Spoonbill. Excellent image Bill.
