    Default Black-neck stilts at Viera

This was taken last weekend at Viera. There were quite a few there. Taken with the D300 and Nikon 500 f4, f 8, 1/2500, iso 320, ec -2.00

    C&C welcomed of course:)

Very appealing image Nancy just about perfect reflection I think I would rather have it all with the blue but its appealing. Would consider removing the brownish area by the chest (reflection) Excellent exposure, composition and I like the crop !!!

I like the image and I like the buff areas but do agree with Alfred on getting rid of the buff area in front of the bird's chest. The biggest probelm is with the head angle. With the head turned slighty away you have lost the red eye... I would also get rid of the tiny sticks interupting the surface of the still water. At what time was this image made?

Good advise above, Nancy. I will add that the whites have a blue cast from the water's reflection, you could select them with color range and pix them in color balance or any other way that you are familiar with.
