Here is a shot of the male Pergerine Falcon. I was lucky that it perched in a spot with a nice background. The background is the hills of Westchester County across the Hudson River and at that distance have that nice purplish color.

Converted in DPP 4.6 and processed in PS.

What a beauty, Isaac. Congratulations! Nice head turn, good detail, and the BG compliments the bird very well.

Isaac this is my favorite subject and you have a wonderful head angle with a super BG. We are fortunate that Peregrine populations have rebounded to historical numbers. Score one for mankind correcting the problem that almost wiped them out in our country.

Thanks Glenn. You know its funny because most times when I am out birding or taking pics Peregrines are just a pain in the you know what. Can't tell you how many times I have crawled on my belly in mud and crap to get near a flock of shorebirds and when I am finally in shooting distance one of these guys comes and ruin my shot!!! But when you go to a cliff and watch them at close range there is something entirely different about the experience. You really appreciate their speed and power in a different way. Think I just got myself hooked. Have to get that flight shot.
