    I captured this image at my local lake in Miami Lakes, Florida, with the handheld Nikon D500 (crop sensor) and AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm 1-5.6E ED VR.

    Good work catching this speedster in flight. They're not easy to capture.

    Indeed these are tough to capture, near me in San Diego they are aloof and quick. Nicely done. Perhaps a bit of sharpening around the eye?

    Hey Will, not really a long wait. There's a walkway around the lake and every time someone was getting close to the tree where he was standing he flew to the next tree or all the way across the lake. You guys are right in the difficulty on getting these erratic bullets. Sometimes I succeed, most of the time I fail, but still a lot of fun.
