I had a little bit of fun with the Common Goldeneyes as they were cooperating more than usual (only the females - the males stayed far). On a couple of occasions they started their running starts when they were right ion front of me, providing some excellent opportunities. Here's one of my favorites from the session due to the "spinning" feet action!

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/2500s., f/5.6, ISO 1600, natural light, handheld, cropped for comp (no room in front - I do wish I had a tad more there).

Killer frame Daniel. Very envious. They never allow close approach here. Great action with the splashing water and running feet. If you want extra room on the left why not just add some canvas?

That is great framing and timing, Daniel and the leg positions are perfect.

Nice dynamic capture. Love the footwork. Easy enough to stretch it a tad to the left if you were so inclined. On the rare occasions that I see Goldeneyes around here, they are extremely skittish. But their displays are great fun to watch even from a distance.

Great timing, I love the splash and the position of the front foot about to hit the water. Lovely detail on the bird and I like the HA.

Love the pose, eye contact and sharpness. The low shooting angle strengthens the image.
