    Lorant:

Great banking pose, with separation of head from wings, splayed tail, soft background. The wing tip in the water adds to the cool factor.

What time of day was this taken? Just curious about the color temp.

    Cheers

Hi Randy. I started shooting 1.5h before sunset and I was there until 10 min before sunset....and I was cold in the water, so I left:). This photo was taken somewhere between these times. Please post a version with the color temp you imagine for this one....I'd love to see it.Thanks.

Excellent banking pose, and of course the wing dragging the water puts this over the top! If I wanted to be really picky I'd say I wish the shadow on the lower wing was not there, but man this simply rocks.

    Lornat:

This version is not better than yours, but I found the color temp in the original made the water a bit dull and muddy looking, and even the bg a bit, so pulled it into LR, and moved the temp slighter -15. Can be tweaked to taste, but I thought the colors were more pleasing.

    Great capture.

Very nice banking pose. Agree with most of what has been said already. I prefer the color temperature in the repost. Also I think that a few frames earlier would have been better. Here the bird is flying slightly away. I think if it were facing us more there shadow on the lower wing would not be there and the angle would be better. I know that is being super picky because this is such a nice frame.
