Default Snowy Owl at Last Light

Seeing Arash's fantastic Snowy Owl image that he just posted brought back fun memories of our trip to Washington during the 2012 irruption. I decided to have a look at my images from Ocean Shores. Both Arash and I took two trips to Washington to visit the Snowies; one together and one separately. Where the first trip was rainy and cloudy, the second one was mostly sunny. This frame was taken at last light on my second visit to Ocean Shores, when I was accompanied by my wife. What you see is an almost full frame image, and my encounter with that particular owl was one that I'll never forget! Just me, my camera, a gorgeous specimen of a Snowy Owl, and some sweet light!

I am always happy to see the posts that you guys put of this beautiful bird. Everything is very well done in this image. I really like the BG matching the spots on the bird. TFS.
