Found a cool water hole covered in duckweed that has some birds on it.

I processed this on my laptop but have to use another computer to put photo online. Looks completely different on the 2 different screens (this screen, the reds look a bit oversaturated and maybe a little softer. I tried to oversharpen for the web), seems better on laptop. Can image degrade just by moving it to another computer?

    Nikon D80, 300 f4 x 1.4, 1/125 f8 ISO200, fill flash -1 1/3

    Comments/critiques appreciated

I like the unusual setting, great angle, eye contact and details. It only needs a bit CW rotation. I might be tempted to remove the branch.

The image quality of jpgs only suffers if you reopen it in PS, not by copying the file to another computer.

    Default I Like It

I think that it needs a bit of contrast enhancement...I agree with Axel about the rotation...I personally would leave the branch, especially whereas it is at the same angle of the tail.

Definitely a nice, different view of a cardinal male :)

This is in a very nice setting with the complimentary green.
agree with all the above Dan.....branch is not a big distraction to me.

Here is small rework with the cw rotation and removed a bit of yellow only from the bird and toned it down a bit
Looking forward to some more....this is a lot like the habitat I see over here in Shreveport

Unusual image of the Northern cardinal! The duckweed makes for a great backdrop to the bird red plumage. CW rotation mentioned (and neatly corrected by Dave - along with the color tweak). Great low angle!

Nice rework Dave. I am in South Texas for the summer and this is some rare habitat for the area, but it brings the birds in. I have a painted bunting from the same spot, different perch that I might post in a few days.
