Here is another frame of this Blue-winged Teal photographed in early morning light last weekend from Staten Island, New York. Taken shortly after the other frame while the bird was against an area with a cleaner and brighter background.

Processed with DPP 4.5 and PS. Took some of the info from Doug on my last photo and applied it to this one. I find it very difficult to get those birds perfectly. There is a fine balance between having the artificial look that you get when you lift the darks too much and having the bird look natural but keeping white whites and proper darks as well. Think I got it right on this one.
