    Really nice shot -- great look back and very nice details, especially how soft the hind feathers appear. Only nit is the white OOF region above the head (a rock maybe?), it could help to darken that a tad. Thanks for sharing!

    I like the look back pose. Being in a blind surely must help with getting so close to these guys. Agree with Alex re the spot above the bird. To me the bird looks a little over sharpened.

    Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. Yes a hide sure does help, as they are very difficult to photograph otherwise. I applied a very small amount of sharpening, I think the wet feathers make it appear over sharpened, but it looks ok on my monitor.
