    This is one from my time last weekend with the Fulmars in my hometown. The BG is flowering gorse bushes, growing on the cliff. Since I stepped up to the 1DX, I find it better, locking onto BIF, against a dark BG, even with the 1.4 attached on a Mk1 lens.

    Lovely shot Will, perhaps a little sharpening round the would not go amiss.
    I see a magenta and blue cast in the wings, suggest select fulmar, HS layer, desaturate Blue and maybe some Magenta.
    I agree with your comments on the 1DX -quite simply the best camera I have ever owned....just wait till you get the 500 MkII and the 2xTC III I think you will be amazed all over again.
