Love the background and look here. Could be my computer but I feel the bird looks a bit dark but could just be the lighting so see what others say. TFS!

Lovely shot, good eye contact. I agree the image looks a little dark/heavy to me.

Fabulous eye contact, interesting perch, good detail. I had the same thought when I first opened it -- could use a bit more brightness.

Very nice looking owl and the pose, perch and BG look great. I agree that the image is dark and needs a boost in exposure to make it pop.

I increased exposure, adjusted the darks in levels, added some saturation and cleaned up the shadows in the eyes.

    Nice frame Sasan

David's repost nails it for me. David, did you just boost shadows via local adjustments around the eye? Thanks

Thanks Alex glad you like the repost. No I actually rebuilt the top part of the iris using the clone tool. Just lifting the shadows wouldn't have taken care of the heavy shadow created from the brow.

    Thanks

love this little owl, they are a bit like our BO's. The perch is nice and appropriate for the subject. the OP was too dark which Dave fixed quite well. I like the view of its small talons too
