Sometimes a reflection can say more about an image, especially when it's turned upside down.

A trio of Wildebeest come down to drink just after sunrise, the air was still and an opportune time to try some reflective imagery.

    Moremi Game Reserve- Botswana.

    Nikon D810
    Nikkor 70-200 VRII
    f/5.6
    1/500s
    ISO280@ 200mm.

Bean bag, front pax seat, curves, levels, TK adj's, flipped image and cropped lower 1/3....or upper 1/3 depending on POV

    Cheers

    Marc

PS. I've looked through my previous postings and don't think I've posted this one before and apologies if that's the case?

This is a real dandy, Marc - sure made me look twice. Nice light and trio-lineup.
Presume the space at the bottom (top of original unflipped image) is cluttered? Could you include more there?

Very interesting effect, especially after rotating your image 180 and observe the effect +/-

Hi Marc - I don't think this works as well flipped as some of the other images you've posted. There are several horizontal ripples/lines in the reflection which give it away. Nice rich colors but it does feel a bit tight to me at the bottom.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Correct , yes agree, a little tight on the bottom and had to crop at this point as other Gnu were coming into play.

The ripple lines are there for sure, and easily seen, my intent (apart from the catchy title) was never about deception just merely to indicate an alternate perspective & view.

Hi Marc , well to be honest i would prefer the classy version .
But the rest works well with the colors , sweet light and tonal range . For sure one has to choose another sky /land ratio if kept unflipped

Good to see some experiments though, you never know if you have never tried !!!!

    Dear Marc,

An interesting and fun experiment indeed. I did hesitate for a moment but then the ripples in the water gave it away

A bit tight on the bottom of the frame, have you got more?

You made me smile from ear to ear tonight, keep posting Marc, I like surprises:)

    Kind regards,

Super image, being a little on the boring side I would prefer the "correct" way up with more grass and less water, but it does make for very interesting viewing.

An interesting attempt, and kudos for trying it, but I too would prefer to see to the original way. Great colours in the scene though
