The Fulmars have now returned to nest at my hometown, after spending their life at sea. I have always loved watching these birds. They have returned to the same sandstone cliffs, every year, since I was a child. I photographed them last weekend. To get this shot, I clambered up the grassy side of a cliff, (same cliff, as I climbed 50 years ago) opposite from where the Fulmar was perched.
Wonderful capture, William. Nice soft light and great texture in the warm sandstone cliffs. Like the eye contact too. How lucky you are to have these beautiful birds nest in your hometown.
I like this frame. Nice pose and I like the natural sandstone nesting cliff. Perfect comp too. Nice that you have them close to home. Well done
