Bill there are some birds that look like they come from the prehistoric age and this is one with a bill like this, your exposure looks really good and beautiful soft colours, stands out very well against that dark bg,nice pose with the droplet to finish off with.

I would be very pleased to have taken this shot. Bird stands out beautifully against the dark water. And nice job getting almost at water level which I know is not easy to do there. I only saw a few of these on my trip and they were all far out or just flying over. Your image quality is good and I like the water droplet as well. I can't tell but I wonder if it needs a tiny bit of clockwise rotation?

I love that water drop clinging to the bill!! Great colours and overall IQ. You know I love ultra low angles, but this one works as is. Just to make for a cleaner finish, I would clone over the two pale areas just creeping in along the top right edge.

Hi Bill, great pic one of the first things I saw was the water on the bill great.Like the pose and the dark background.Looking closely you can see where the previous drop made circles in the water nice detail.

What a beauty, Bill. Great head turn and eye contact. Amazing rich colors captured beautifully against the dark BG.
