Thought I'd get this last one in before theme deadline.

Sometimes a large prime can come in handy to isolate an area suitable for your subjects.
Here a dazzle of zebra make their way through a dusty sunset that is Ndutu right now, the severe lack of quality rain has the area looking more like the Central Kalahari than the lush grassland plains normally associated for this time of year.

Hi Marc -- Looks a beautiful sunset scene , lovely colours in the sky . I would open up the FG slightly as it appears quite dark to me even though it represents the late evening scene, also any noise which might crop up as a result of opening up the dark areas can be easily dealt with . Some thing on these lines ?

    A lovely scene nonetheless .

    TFS !

However, it's not what I saw or envisaged, a little too washed out for mine, my vision was for darker subjects and closer to reality, at ISO 220, noise wasn't my primary concern.

this RP has too much of a HDR feel, but thanks for taking the effort.

Hi Marc - Very nice sunset scene. I prefer the tones of the op but do feel that the bottom of the frame is a bit heavy. Perhaps a crop just above your name to lessen that feeling?

    Rachel

I like the original, very atmospheric. Maybe just lighten the darkest areas a tiny bit but I do like the contrast.

Hi Marc lovely overall sunset colors and great sky for sure .The Zebras are a nice addition to the scene , from the tonal POV i think the 3/4 tones and blacks are a bit too strong for my liking.
    Nice one , TFS Andreas

    Hello Marc,

I like this, very original. Lovely mood, there's something happy and decadent about the sky, in contrast with the downtrodden zebra wandering into the fading light.

I agree with Andreas above, the blacks a tad too strong for me too, not sure you can do anything about the vegetation but I would be tempted to lighten up the zebra a little.
Enjoyed viewing, very much - I find your recent approach to photography quite refreshing and I am absolutely delighted

    Kind regards,

Nice mood to this, Marc. I am fine with the distribution of space top-and-bottom...
I do like what Haseeb did and to me the zebbies do need a little more pop - perhaps somewhere between the two versions is ideal? Maybe just dodge the whites on the zebras alone?
