Hi folks a quick brake from the Bisons .... more to come
I just like to share an image of a Harbor Seal from Helgoland taken in dec 2016.The dune was dominated by the Grey Seals , just 2 juveniles of the Harbor Seal have been around .
One late afternoon i got the chance to achieve this very clean shot of this little chap , normally they are very skittish compared to the grey ones .
    Hope you like it.

    Canon EOS 1Dx II
    EF 500 IS L II + 1,4 TC
    Tripod

    F 5,6 ; Iso 8000; 1/500 sec ; man exp + 1EV

Processed with DPP 4.6 and PS CC 2017 ; cropped to 80 % of FF ; little gardening in FG to clean up ; experimenting within DPP with my own custom picture style .

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous thread

Love the drooling pose, tail lift and subject isolation from the BG here Andreas, nicely done. Overall techs and detail, considering the 8K ISO are working very well, perhaps a slight CR perhaps?

Hi Andreas -- What a lovely image , with nice separation and great details and sharpness. I liked the way DOF tails from face to its hind flippers and that drool is priceless . superb work . TFS !

Hi Andreas - Very simple, yet effective. The comp is excellent with the full body and the trailing off dof. The drool definitely adds to the image. Nice one.

NAdreas the custom setting seems to be working extremely well, this high ISO shots are very clean and beautifully detailed. I can see grains of sand on the whiskers - not bad eh??

One of the best Seal images posted I feel Andreas. Superb detail/clarity and I like the almost Monochromatic look/feel to the image.

Yet again the 1DXMK2 delivers at a high ISO, nice work.

    Hello Andreas

I am back again, this time for good:)

This particular thumbnail grabbed me instantly, such an appealing frame and I just love the studio feel. As well as POV and eye contact.

Superb PP work Boetie, cannot help feeling that this chap is about to roll over, love the balancing act
Nice to see you are still experimenting and having fun, this works for me 100% and I enjoyed viewing, so much! Beautiful detail and those eyes are mesmerising, love the clarity and IQ, whew not bad at all for 1/500s, congrats

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
