I got this one last spring in central MN, The mother was offering a beetle to her Western Grebe chicks, the one natural chick was also being fed as well. I got this image from my Sea Eagle inflatable pontoon boat, with my Canon 7Dll, 100-400ll at 371mm, 640iso, f/7.1, 1/1000 sec. Lightroom.

love the low angle, calm water, sweet BG and of course the interaction and parenting behavior which takes it to the top. the chicks look a bit soft, might be fixed with more (gentle) sharpening. Was the RAW sharp ?

Very nice Michael Great POV which makes a great difference on an image like this. Great interaction amongst the chicks and adult. FG and BG blend real well, making for a nice looking image.

Thanks Arash! The chicks were bouncing around like crazy, I should have shot faster. Raw image wasn't too bad, but needed some sharpening. it also seems like I need to do extra sharpening for this forum, for some reason this format renders my files a bit softer than they look on my computer. I will try a re post and see if it helps. ~MT
