    Default Roadside Snow Bunting

Photographed along a rural road, from the comfort of my car. A flock of about 100 individuals was flying around the fields. I set up the audio, and half a dozen of them came in to investigate before flying off to rejoin the flock.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/800s., f/8, ISO 400, natural light, handheld, FF, darkened the pupil, some small dark specks in the perch removed via spot removal tool.

Another beautiful Snow Bunting. Nicely exposed, with great texture to the snow and good hint of clouds in the sky. They do seem to like roadside snow drifts. I wish we had some closer to home.

great shot of this bird in its wintery perch! good job getting close enough to get nice detail. I see lots of these but they always flee my lens, or land on the wrong side of the car
