Hi John, Nice image and relatable -- this is how I felt this morning. To me, it looks like at this size, the bird doesn't seem to have that much detail, but on a larger version might. Thanks for sharing!
Good yawning pose, nice perch. I like the composition a lot. IMO the blue streak across the top is unfortunate. From that distance it is pretty rare that I stop down - photographing wide open helps smooth out the BG even more.
