I had been on a birding trip after a couple of years and had a gala time out their in the field, it was an amazing experience yet again and will be posting the images from the trip on the Avian forum. But for now I would also like to contribute to this months theme and none other than a tiger image. What better than to see multiple tigers, though their were 5 in total but managed to get 4 in one single frame , a first time for me. The light was very low and apart from the colours on the Tigers the rest of the setting was very dry and hence decided to opt for a BW version. The subjects were at a considerable distance hence used a 2x TC to capture the moment. All your C&C's are most welcome.
DPP4.5, CS6, BW conversion, exp +0.40, whites, clarity , curves , NR, cropped from the top and bottom for a pano version .
Canon 5DMKIII, Canon 500mm f4 IS II with 2x TC, Bean Bag.
1/1000 sec; f/8; ISO 5000.

Hi Haseeb, nice to have you back posting, although good to hear you are spreading your wings and getting some more practice in with other subjects i.e. avian.
I find the image rather flat, with high whites and blacks creating a strong 'contrast' in the tonal range, both drawing the eye. Also the overall content appears to be, not sharp, this is either through the overall distance and or that it's not sharp in the original capture? I like the two on the RHS, but wished the other two were looking towards the viewer rather than away, so sadly it's not really working or me.
The large jpeg doesn't look too shabby at all Steve - I like it!
Yes, the same bison ( from the image which i posted in animals in their environment theme ). Made life quite difficult for the cubs but their mother took care of the matter.
Hi Haseeb - Sounds like a great trip. Looking forward to seeing the images. What a special sighting to see 4 tigers at once. The image does feel a bit dark and flat. I understand you have already raised it in post so would not do more. I also agree with Steve about sharpness and contrast. Seems like this is more of a record shot to remember the sighting.
