    This is one from the side of the loch, just as the swan was gathering flight, after taking off, from the ice covered water. The light was, late afternoon winter sun.

    At first it seemed like a tight crop for such a big bird but the more I look at it the more it works here. Looks like great light . Nice bif shot.

    Thanks for that John. This is about full frame, or I probably would have cropped less, but when I was cropping for comp, I, like you, felt it looked good big in the frame.
