Taken early morning, to get closer I waited till she dived than I advanced closer trying to anticipate where she might surface. The wing flaps were unfortunately all back to front so I shall return to try my luck again.

Lovely light and bird. Never can get anywhere near them in New York. Kudos on some good field craft. I think the bird would benefit from a little bit of extra sharpening.

Very nice Jon. I like how the FG and BG blend. Lovely peaceful looking feel around the image. Feather detail and eye contact look good. I think the bird is sharp enough for this frame.

Hi Jon, nice soft light and still water - like Isaac, I have never been able to get close to these. I really like the low perspective giving a dreamy background.

    Very nice work! Regards, Gerald

Lovely image Jon with wonderful detail and color on the Goosander. I especially love the great eye-level POV and the beautiful pastel blues of the water... good choice to desaturate. Well done.

Very nice Jon. I really like the colors as the blues really showcase the colors of the duck. Great details too. Well done
