Very nice light and cool to see this pair landing together on the ice. I also like your shooting angle and POV here Will. Well done.

Neat image, Will. It makes me want to see what happens next... do they slide, do they crash. Nice low POV. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Will, nice capture, I wonder about f/8 as you had plenty of ISO & SS up your sleeve? Probably wrong as I'm on the laptop, but I wonder about a little lees Contrast and or Sharpening????

Is it Loch Leven, judging by the backdrop???

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. Joe, they actually controlled the landing perfectly, a wee slide then stop and shake it off. Hi Steve, thanks for that, I was set up for flight shots, when I saw them coming in to land. So, prob under exposed this one slightly. Looking at it now, yes there seems to be too much contrast. I think f/8 with a slower SS or higher ISO would have worked better here. This is what they call Letham Pools, Its a smallish loch, where you can park the car loch side. Next time you are travelling through Fife, north on the A92 towards Dundee, you will see it. It is quite shallow and attracts all sort of wildfowl. Thats where I seen a Glossy Ibis, first one in Fife since 1845.

Thanks for the info Will, although if I head up I will not be on the Dundee side sadly.

Great action shot with good light, detail and focus. I don't think f8 would have improved it as I would not want a better focused bg. Slower ss maybe.

Looks good to me. No benefit from f8 over the current setting as the DOF appears sufficient without enhancing the background. A very good end of flight shot!
