    This was taken crouching low on the edge of a small lake near Whitehorse Yukon. Handheld Canon 1DX, Canon 600 f/4 IS II with 1.4TCIII at f/8, 1/400, ISO 2000

    the interaction is very nice and I like the crop too, sharp. The chick, tucked in mom's feathers is really cute. It looks like the light was coming at an angle and the BG could use some NR. the WB is a bit off, the chick has a bit of blue/magenta cast

    Wow Geoff, really cool moment captured here, my eye is drawn immediately to the chick. Nice composition and wonderful detail. I agree with Arash about applying some NR to the BG.

    This is beautiful Geoff!! As Kirk mentioned my eye goes right to the chick and I love how his body is hidden and we only see his head. Colors and details look great too. Well done and TFS
