    Default Peek a boo!

I'm guessing with trained eyes like the ones here at BPN it won't be hard to find the second baby Loon. :)
Another from a series of images to come. Most of the Loons on this lake were very calm and seemingly comfortable with my presence in there territory (there were exceptions and they didn't get photographed).
These babies took turns getting on and off there parents, this was one of the only images were I got one under the wing and one up on the back. This image was captured at 6:26 AM.

What a great opportunity to have these beautiful birds and chicks and being able to get close to them without disturbing them. The calm mood really shows and makes this image very intimate. Great light and poses. There is a slight sharpening halo that should be easy to fix.

I am really suffering envy Mike as I would love to see these loons with their little babies. Sweet image and the second baby llooks quite comfortable all tucked in. Beautiful lighting and a most pleasing composition. Thanks for sharing.

You have a good one here, Mike. Beautiful light, perfect exposure, and appealing pose. I'll be eager to see more of these images.

I am drooling as I see these, what a tender moment!! The second chick half visible makes this very special.

A very nice catch for all of the above reasons. As a loon a holic, I can relate to how difficult it is to get one of these without disturbing the parents or chicks. Excellent work on all of the loons shots so far Mike.
