This small and beautiful northern bird claimed its stake of the snow bank along a country road. I was sure glad when it chose to hang on to the protruding "peak"! Photographed form my car, with audio used to entice it closer.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/800s., f/8, ISO 400, natural light, handheld, a few dark specks removed form the snow via Spot Removal tool, darkened the pupil, lightened the iris.

Dan that bit of snow looks hardly strong enough to hold that bird but it does make for a very nice perch, bird itself looks really nice as does the BG,very nice job.

Lovely image of the Snow Bunting Dan. Lovely detail and pose on the bird. The perch and BG shows the bird well.

He certainly favored you with a great perch. And beautiful colors and pose. Nicely captured.
