    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED shot at 400mm (600mm FFE)
    1/1000 F/8 Matrix Metering EV +1 ISO 1400 AWB, camera supported by a monopod
    Post processed in Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC 2017
    Cropped a little off the left side and bottom

    Love the straight on look of this owlet. I would take a bit off of the bottom and right.

    Hi Joe,
    I like the stare pose of this little one. The exposure looks good and i like the BG very much. I would suggest toning down the white sand a bit and cleaning up an artifact left of the owls neck. TFS

    Hi Joe,agree very much with Ann re the sand,that's a brilliant fixed stare and serious look ,like this a lot.

    Lovely shot Joe, I would love to get one of these in my portfolio, I hope to visit Florida before too long. I like the pose and of course those eyes, Iwas ok with the crop though I agree the recrop does look slightly better, if anything the repost sand looks a tad brighter to me??

    Love this capture, Joe. Far too cute, and puts a smile on my face. Very nice overcast light, and like the soft white feathers coming through the brown feathers.
