    I often park roadside at an oxbow off the Red River to shoot herons and other birds.
    When the avians are scarce, it's time for snakes and frogs.
    Water snake in morning light about 7:30 just about a year ago

    400mm, ISO 400, 1/250, f/6.3, +.33EV

    Awesome shot. I would lighten the gap between the snake and stump.

    Tough framing snakes Dave !!! I like this one very much !!!! Make take just a little of the bottom Be careful with those things !!!! Excellent !!!

    Hi Dave,
    I think Alfreds suggestion of a bit off the bottom works for me(Just above your signature). I really do like the pose and comp of this one. Nicly handled!
