Clapper Rail
Captured this image back in 2014 at Sandy Hook. It was quite a while before one or two emerged from the tall reeds. This was taken in morning light. C&C welcome.

Nice details, light, and scene here for this guy. The red eye is very striking against the browns. I think the grass on the right of the bird is a nice addition, but I wish the one stalk on the left wasn't intersecting the body so fully, but such is life. nice capture here -- thanks for sharing!
