    Here's another from the Trenton Sewer Plant a few weeks ago. About now I imagine he's wishing he had gone south.

    D500, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 800, 1/1250s @ f/7.1 manual.

    Hi Bill, super pose here with good DOF. The finer plumage is showing up very well, and you have a sweet BG.

    Wow you must have been close! Nice details on the bird and the background looks great. I wish the perch was not as busy but it still works for me. There have been lots of orange crowns around this fall/winter. We have 5 or 6 right now on Staten Island including one that has been eating suet in my yard.
