Very nice Jon! I love the background but a little torn about the placement of the bird and the dry flower. Maybe because the bird is smaller than the flower that the flower kinda steals the show?

Love your composition here Jon! Terrific perch, and nice details in the bird. Do wish the head was angled slightly upwards though.

That is a beauty...love your choice of composition...very unique....congrats on this one....top notch. I agree with Dan that HA is about the only thing that could be improved in this one.

the perch and the way the birds is hanging on to it takes it to the top, techs are very good, I am also wishing for a slightly better HA but it's a great frame overall

Thanks for the feedback everyone glad you liked it. It took a few attempts to get the shot because I was shooting vertically and even using the AF points at the bottom did not get me onto the birds head so I had to focus quickly then focus lock and recompose to get the teasel head in. These little guys don't hang around for long so I had to be quick!

Hi Jon, not much more to add but I like this lots. The curved 'perch' takes it over the top. Well captured.
