    Default Nd Panoramic sunrise

    Early morning Nd sunrise Canon 5d Mark111 16 35 lens shot at 16mm f13 Iso500 1/10 Singh Ray color intensifier filter.Took raw file in to Dpp4 and sharpened ,watermarked in photoshop. Any suggestions appreciated Shoot mostly birds not many landscapes.

    Hi Kevin...this is a nice farm scene...looks like a wheat field?...it looks like much of the sky has blown out with the brightness of the rising sun. My favorite way to over-come this problem is to use a Singh-Ray 3-Stop Reverse Graduated Neutral Density Filter. Another option, if you are able to recover any highlight detail in ACR, would be to optimize one version of the image for the highlights and one for the darker tones and then blend them in Photoshop.

    Thanks Andrew I knew about the graduate filters just haven't tried one yet. Thanks very much I need to try more landscapes.
