    Hi all,

Here is another Black Skimmer frame from Florida -- in post I cropped about 40% off the image, made some tonal adjustments, sharpened, brightened the eye a bit. Image was made about ~45 minutes before sunset.

    Camera: Nikon D500
    Lens: 200-500mm f/5.6 at 500mm
    Specs: 1/4000 ISO 720 f/5.6 (should've gone 1/2500 and f/6.3 or f/7.1)

    Thank you for looking,
    Alex

Great wings up pose, but the face seems soft to me, which lets the shot down. I like the BG colours and the trailing water droplets.

Hi Mike, thanks for commenting! I tried to add some more sharpening to the head in the repost but am not sure if that helps.

    Thanks for you help,
    Alex

Like the wings-up pose, and the sharpening on the face really helps. A slight head turn towards us would have improved the shot.

Thanks Doug, I think in general I probably need to be doing more output sharpening for the web size. Agree re: head angle
