    This is one from late last year at Cairngorm. I got quite close to this little bird when it was perched on the ground. The legs were hidden by frosted dead leaves, so I went for a portrait crop

    Will how much is this cropped? I ask because noise seems to be rather apparent and I would not normally expect to see this much.

    Fairly large crop, it would have been a lot better, if I showed the full bird, too much crop Jon.

    Hi Will, what a great crest on this guy... the IQ isn't your usual here, but i love the head shot...
