Photographed this pair of 2nd year cubs last June in Lake Clark N.P. I love 2nd year cubs, they remind me of Teddy Bears....

Certainly a pleasing shot - their poses and inquisitive expressions mix well with the pristine surrounds.
A scene I would have loved to see. Nicely framed and processed.

Hi Dale - This works quite well. I like the comp and placement in frame. Great standing poses too. You were close shooting this with the 70-200.

    Rachel

Lovely image. There is so much to like, the two bears and their expression/standing up, the creek behind, the forest beyond that.

Hi Dale -- Fabulous pose and moment , would love to see and capture something like this if I ever get an opportunity. Lovely back drop as well which is adding to the frame. Is it only me or others have missed it but i find the fur a bit grainy and oversharpened to some extent , may be because of getting wet ?

    TFS !

Delightful scene Dale, I am loving this.

Well seen and captured, I find the framing to be very pleasing. I also like those Teddy Bears, so much expression on their faces. The one on the LHS seems more puzzled than the other, I keep wondering what they were looking at?

Beautiful colours and superb scene overall, well processed too.

So let me do the girl thing for once and say "aaaargh, so sweet "

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Dale lovely scene with the two youngsters , i like the spring /summer colors .
Good and interesting pose of the bears .
Is that taken at Silver Salmon Creek ?
Just wondering about the missing fine detail in the grass around the bears ? looks a bit blurry , NR ?

Well i bet they did look for other bears ... Gabriela .

They were watching a approaching male (boar). They can be very dangerous to the cubs so they really keep an eye on them...

I like this one a lot Dale, 2 very good alert poses from beautiful subjects, and there is a lot of interest throughout the image with the water and the BG. Good placement of the bears within the frame,

    Mike

Great encounter Dale, love the inquisitive pose of the two bears.

You need to stretch your legs Morkel and hop on a flight and take a rest from African animals, but you may need to buy a long pair of pants though.
