Hi Rich, great low perspective, and you have captured a good angled wingflap too. The like the water droplets on the Fulvous, but they seem a touch over sharpened. The lighter water BG makes the Fulvous pop nicely.

Great pose and stunning colors. Is this the way you saw them, or did you boost the saturation?

Thanks Stu and Bill! Stu, thanks for picking that up, I think I may have used the version for social media where I increased the level of sharpening. This one should hopefully be better, although the image was not pin sharp.
Bill, this is pretty much there authentic colours, but I did increase the vibrancy to get the colours correct. There are a few more examples on my website if you are interested: http://www.theflacks.co.za/birds/fulvous-duck/

Hi Richard, very nice repost. I like the HA and the curled wings. POV good too! Saw my first Fulvous ducks at South Texas/border, they are very beautiful, nice work.

I like the pose and curled water. I think cropping to above the white streak cutting across the reflection, and then adding that same amount of space above the duck would work. I also see some colour noise in the darks that can be dealt with. Good body angle, and I like the water drops clinging to the duck.
