    Default Eastern Meadowlark

I captured this image along Joe Overstreet Road in Kenansville, Florida. Some may prefer a different perch but in central Florida there at miles of barbed wire fences whether bordering pasture land or citrus groves. On pastures all the trees have been removed to graze cattle. The grasses of the pasture provide perfect habitat for Meadowlarks. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Beautiful Image. I would have gone with horizontal image with less space behind the bird and with more space on the right side of the bird. I like this version as well.

    Nicely captured.

I've been on that road a few times and know exactly what you are dealing with Joe. Lovely calling pose on the best available perch! Great details and background. I think you could crop some off of the bottom and add it to the top. Also a little off the left and add it to the right. Also I feel the bird has a slight greenish cast to it. Easy fixes for a very nice shot.

No problem with the perch - it`s very common Down Under - and over here it would be rusted! The bird looks sharp and well presented against the background.

No problems with the perch Joe it might take on some rust in years to come which does make it a bit more pleasing to the eye,the bird itself looks spot on to me,lovely detail and sharpness and a good singing pose.

Like this capture, Joe. Wonderful calling pose and fine detail throughout. I also don't mind the perch.
