    Default New Year's Day Sunrise

On New Year's Day I awoke and headed out to a small winter creek near my rural home for a few sunrise images. I was hoping for a stellar display in the sky, but had to settle for this little splash of color instead. It was a lovely morning with temperatures around -5 degrees Celsius...the snow was about 1.5 feet deep.

Happy New Year Andrew! This is a very nice and tranquil scene, and I actually think that the humble sunrise you captured here actually suits the scene very well. The reflection in the water is amazing. Did you open up the shadows in PP? If so I would hold back a little, because I think the trees look a bit too light now. If not, maybe add a little contrast?

Hi Andrew, I too like this image, for the beautiful reflections and the nice leading line formed by the stream. I also like that there is plenty of texture visible in the snow..No Suggestions..

Happy New Year, Andrew! Love the leading line and the contrast between cold winter and warm dawn in this image.
    Reflections add a lot...
