    Default Vincent's vision

On my recent trip to Italy/Provence I stayed in St. Remy-de Provence which is where Vincent Van Gogh was hospitalized in an asylum. This is a combination of 2 shots - one of an olive grove near the asylum and the second is a shot I had taken through old glass windows at the Notre-Dame de Senanque Abbey of an outbuilding. I layered the 2 using the Difference Blend mode. I had also used the Oil Paint feature in CC Photoshop on the olive grove to bring out some of the grasses and the sky. It reminded me of something his tortured mind might have seen.

Very nice! Wonderful combination of images. I especially like the raindrops and the tree trunks and the darkness. Well done.
I've never used Difference Blend Mode nor the Oil Paint feature. They seem to work very well here. Will have to try them.
I wish the sky had more texture to it so it blended in better with the rest of the image.
