    I like it James Excellent pose with the look over the shoulder and nice bg !!!

    A couple of things I can suggest. First at the time of making the image look for merging branches etc. Just moving to your right the one intersecting the beak would have been gone. Those merges are difficult to deal in PS and best to do in camera. Second I would move the bird down a bit, would like more room at the top than bottom and also have the bird closer to the left than right.

    The last but not least is the point of focus .... seems to be around the tail of the bird. This plus the slow shutter speed made the image a little soft. Could have (would have) made it wide open and increase the ISO 400mm plus crop factor makes it difficult to hand hold at that speed !!!

    Nice bird - lovely colours, I D/L and applied some selective sharpening to the bird (not the tail) and sharpened the eye.

    Improves it a little maybe.
