Hi Keith wha a lovely portrait !!!!
The detail , color and the tones do look very nice , from HL to 3/4 tones . Framing works well and one must love that big eye ... so big and shiny !!!
Just the blacks are a tad too strong for my taste ...
Still a very fine image of the species .IQ does look very good.

Wish you too merry Xmas and a happy New Year .
    Cheers and TFS Andreas

Hi Keith, agree this is a lovely portrait and kudos in getting so close.

You know how to look for 'clipped' Blacks & Whites, but this is very clipped in the ears, the Blacks & Contrast need to be pulled back, plus a hint more Exp will help. I'll skip the techs, you know all that, but as posted nice sharpness, but room for improvement, LOL.

If you get the above balanced, then adjust some of the other colours more begins to come through, although the NR look also a bit hefty Sir!
Have a great Xmas, hope Health improves and look forward to more from you in the coming Year.

    TFS
    Steve

Merry X-mas Keith -- And I agree it is a lovely portrait with those big beautiful eyes. Techs and PP covered above, but i would like to add that the BKG is way too smooth for my liking , and in that the edges around the Hare looks smooth , otherwise a fine image .

    TFS !

Thanks Stu,Andreas,Steve(thanks for the repost) and Haseeb for your comments must say I did perhaps worry to much about the bg been busy and maybe should have left it alone,Steve this one came so close when I was using a 500mm that I could not get it in the frame.Haseeb pleased you pointed out the smoothing around the Hare which as Steve pointed out was due to me trying to remove a bit of noise. Here is my repost with no NR and just toning down the colours in the Bg.

Much better Keith, I really would not use NR at that low ISO, but it still looks a bit dark to me Keith overall???

Hi Keith - Happy/Merry Christmas to you too! It has been great to see your improvement as well as your enthusiasm this year. I'm looking forward to more in 2017. The bg of your rp looks better but I do like what Steve has done with the hare itself. That eye is great.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Your last RP has corrected pretty much everything here Keith, looking good now ......... but did wonder why you would have needed to touch the NR on that D7000 in the first place?

Best wishes for a great Xmas and NY Keith.

    Merry Christmas dear Keith

Well done with this image, I so enjoyed viewing all your RP's here and also comments from everyone. Super pose from this cute character, he is adorable, nice detail and colours too:)

I gather you received all the feedback you needed so all that's left for me is to congratulate you on your progress, your skills have improved tremendously over the past few months.

I am sorry for my absence here on BPN, after a few desperate attempts to process in a hurry and post I eventually gave up due to lack of time. Hopefully 2017 will allow me more time to go out there and capture new images. Looking forward to see more from you too, hopefully some day you will come to Africa and then I will show you a few of our local characters:)

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Nice portrait here Keith. That last repost is best for me.
I initially thought you added more blur to the BG, but seems it was just aggressive noise reduction?
